The institutional translation of the linguistic term in trilingual dictionaries (reading and criticism)
Abstract
This study aims to shed light on the subject of the institutional translation of the linguistic term in trilingual dictionaries, specifically (the unified dictionary of linguistic terms) by studying and criticism. Therefore, we provided an introduction to the reality of the Arabic linguistic term and its specialized dictionaries, the extent to which it benefits from the institutional linguistic translation in the Arab world, and the relationship of institutional translation with linguistic rules, in order to take note of the problematic aspects of its factual and theoretical aspects.
Then we provided an inductive descriptive reading of the unified dictionary by indicating the linguistic fields contained in it and their importance and making our observations on its definitions and shortcomings. Finally, we moved to the study of the mechanisms of the unified dictionary in generating and criticizing its linguistic terms, with giving recommendations for the advancement of the Arabic linguistic dictionary. In the two parts of the study, we were keen to indicate the positive and negative aspects of the unified dictionary. The importance of this study lies in providing a comprehensive statistical study of the dictionary; with the most accurate detail that previous studies ignored.
